The minor child custody agreement determines which parent is going to be the custodian parent and guardian of the child or children and be responsible for their welfare and upbringing. The Temporary Guardianship Agreement can be used by a parent to give responsibility for the welfare of a child to another adult who may be another relative such as a grandparent or even a close family friend. This is sometimes the case when a person who is serving the country in the military is stationed away from home. The person designated as a temporary legal guardian has full responsibility for health, education and the recreational needs of the minor. If a child is having to travel with the parents consent with another person. A Travel Consent Agreement is needed by the authorities if the journey is domestic within the U.S. Or international. It is required by the care-giver to have authority in the event that the minor child needs to have medical treatment or decisions pertaining to education. This agreement protects both the appointed custodial guardian and the welfare and health of the minor child; related forms are: Care-giver's Authorization Affidavit; allowing the Guardian to take full responsibility for the child’s schooling and medical care.

The Prenuptial Agreement is normally used by couples who are planning to marry several months before the marriage ceremony so that it can be seen to be a well planned impartial agreement agreed during the courting phase of the relationship. This agreement is used by those who need to protect property and financial assets from a potentially damaging future divorce that may not materialize by people who for example have children from a previous marriage who are dependent for material support. It can be viewed as a legal insurance policy contract to protect assets gained before the relationship. It should be noted that in many states the prenuptial agreement must be agreed during the early formative courting stages of the relationship for it to have legal credibility in the event of a future divorce. The Prenup is a complete disclosure of assets, debts and property rights after the marriage so that property and assets can be properly disposed in the event of death or divorce.
